Lanikai Beach by Ellagee

Hi everyone! Recently I did a bunch of swaps with other indie nail makers. Today and tomorrow I will be posting polishes swapped with Laura of Ellagee. I have to say Laura is probably one of the first indie makers that I've followed since she first became known. I've been very fond of her polishes and I'm happy to now be a proud owner of some of her polishes. So enough with the history let's get to some swatches!

Here is Lanikai Beach! Lanikai Beach is from the Laule'a collection. It is described as a shimmery turquoise with a subtle blue flash. What I LOVE the most about this collection is that each polish comes with a cute flower ring (shown below). I couldn't agree more with the description. It is an absolutely stunning shade. I feel like it's a soft gradient from time to time in certain lighting. I have on  two coats over a base and with a top coat. The formula was a little thicker than I'm used to but it was not a problem. I did have to let my nails dry a bit before applying the second coat and then the top coat.

All photos are taken under a light box. It was raining the day I did these so I wasn't able to take them under sun light. I feel like I'm in Hawaii already. (One day I will make the trip!) If you love this color as much as I do you can purchase Lanikai Beach and other polishes by Laura from her shop Ellagee.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the other color I have that was part of our swap and I also have a nail art surprise (:
