The Liebster Award: I've been nominated!

I've always wondered what this "Liebster Award" was. I searched the infamous internet and found that the history of this award is actually practically non existent! All I could really find was the Liebster was German for dearest and that this award is a pay it forward award. The rules below was found on Lorraine Reguly's blog. The rules I have posted are a basic set of Official Rules and I'm going to follow this variation of all the ones I've seen around.

The Official Rules Of The Liebster Award

If you have been nominated for The Liebster Award AND YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT, write a blog post about the Liebster award in which you:
  1. Thank the person who nominated you, and post a link to their blog on your blog.
  2. Display the award on your blog — by including it in your post and/or displaying it using a “widget” or a “gadget”. (Note that the best way to do this is to save the image to your own computer and then upload it to your blog post.)
  3. Answer 11 questions about yourself, which will be provided to you by the person who nominated you.
  4. Provide 11 random facts about yourself.
  5. Nominate 5 – 11 blogs that you feel deserve the award, who have a less than 1000 followers. (Note that you can always ask the blog owner this since not all blogs display a widget that lets the readers know this information!)
  6. Create a new list of questions for the blogger to answer.
  7. List these rules in your post. (You can copy and paste them from here.)
  8. Once you have written your post, and published it, you then have to:
Inform the people/blogs that you nominated that they have been nominated for the Liebster award and provide a link for them to your post so that they can learn about it (they might not have ever heard of it!)
I would like to add that you can nominate someone who already has been given this award, as long as they have less than 1000 followers/subscribers. The idea behind this award is to recognize new bloggers and help promote them! The benefit is that you get from doing this is that you get some promotion, too!

Giving Thanks to Divya Pandey
I would like to thank Divya Pandeh of Nails Jazzed Up for nominating me. I was really shocked when I got the notification. So thank you very much Divya! She's also an amazing person if you haven't heard of her already.

11 Questions asked by Divya
  1. What made you start blogging?
My friend Amey got me started on everything nail polish. I started out on Instagram then started a Tumblr. I then decided that I would make my own nail polish and changed the entire blog and name of who I was as a blogger. So then this blog was born and I'm enjoying it a lot more than my previous one. The main reason I have my blog is not so that other people can see my work or draw inspiration from it but it is because I was looking for something that I could stick to and wouldn't tire of. I jumped a lot of hobbies and this one combined a few that I love altogether and I haven't strayed from it since.
  2. What's your favourite nail treatment?
I have to say the ones that have worked for me so far is Essie Grow Stronger and Base Protein. These have yet to fail me. I previously used OPI Nail Envy but ran out and have yet to get more.
  3. What's your favourite nail polish brand?
ZOYA!!! Lol they were my first polish and I haven't stopped collecting them. I literally have over 150 polishes from them.
  4. What/ who inspired to do nail art?
In the beginning I used to just doodle on my notebook a lot and tried it out on my nails. I was also trying to show off to my boyfriend (who wasn't my boyfriend at the time) that I was a good artist. I painted on his nails and it was an epic fail xD I had started my nail adventures on Instagram and I started following so many nail artists and they inspired me. So everyone I follow on Instagram is an inspiration.
  5. What do you want to do in future?
As of right now in my future I see my making my own polish line, having a family and getting married.
  6. What is your favourite top coat and base coat?
My favorite base coat is my Essie's Grow Strong or Base Protein. My favorite top coat is Essie's Super Duper Top Coat.
  7. What will you like to tell those who are new to this blogging world or who are going to start a blog.
I would tell them not to be discouraged if they don't get many followers quickly. You first have to do it for yourself because what you are blogging about is what you love to do. Secondly social media is very important. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (even if I don't use it), Tumblr and email is very important. It's how you connect to others and also how others can see what you do besides on your blog. In Facebook there are groups you can join and there are people who will help you. I have to thank all those Facebook groups because without them I probably would have never been able to make it on my own.
  8. What's your favourite color?
Red. I absolutely just love red. I dye my hair red, most of my accent clothes are red, my jackets are red lol... Oddly I'm not fond of red nail polish though xD
  9. Which nail art technique you find the easiest and toughest?
I must join the majority on this one and say water marbling. I've tried it twice and the effects were nice but it was too pale and didn't stand out... I shall however try this out soon again maybe the 3rd times the charm!
  10. Which is your favourite TV show?
I have too many... I must say Perception or Hawaii Five-O the 2010 reboot. Other shows I watch include Sanctuary, Alphas, Criminal Minds, Beauty and the Beast (2012), Grimm, Once Upon A Time, The Voice... Lol ALOT OF TV SHOWS ><"
  11. Which country will you like to visit?
I would love to visit Japan, Greece, Great Britain, Italy, Canada, Brazil and I've been to Paris before but I would love to re-visit.
11 Random Facts About Me
  1. I'm very much into Japanese animation, comic books, manga, and old school American cartoons. Meet me in person and you'll see how "animated" I am.
  2. My favorite anime is Inuyasha. My nick name Kagome is from this show and I've had the nick name since I was in high school.
  3. I'm more of a do-it-yourself person. If I can save money by building it myself I rather do that. I'm also the handyman in my family. If something needs a fixing I'm the gal for it.
  4. I'm pretty tiny. Standing at 5'1". Instead of being short I prefer to be called fun-sized (:
  5. I'm allergic to Winter. When the weather starts to get cold I break out into hives and I'm always taking Allegra, Benedryl or Zyrtec to keep the symptoms at bay.
  6. I love puzzles and puzzle related video games.
  7. Besides nail polish I also collect figurines (Spiderman, Minions, Domo, Inuyasha), dried flowers, chibi drawn comic books, pens, sharpies, books and plushies!
  8. I own just as many plushies as I do nail polishes.
  9. I love carnivals, fairs and arcades. At a casino you'll most likely find me in an arcade than at the slot machine or table games.
  10. I am a "lover". I fall in love easily and wear my heart on my sleeve. Without love I feel like I'm not a complete person. I am happy to say that I've been in a very good committed relationship for the past 2 years and I wouldn't have it any other way.
  11. I want to start a family of my own soon and be a mother to at least 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls).
